Our Story, so far
Springnest was founded in mid-2012, with the simple idea that all travel and tourism businesses should have easy and affordable access to quality websites and online marketing tools.
Today, tourism professionals across 12 countries use Springnest to share their unique stories, build their brands, and increase direct bookings.

Peter Fabricius
Co-Founder
Peter is a digital designer and online marketing consultant with global experience. He has a passion for innovation and rethinking traditional rules of tourism marketing. When he's not busy with creative or operational tasks at Springnest, you'll likely find him in the ocean, making coffee or taking photos.Niël Thiart
Co-Founder
Niel is a self-taught generalist and lifelong learner with a web development career that spans over a decade. After working in various facets of the hospitality industry, he co-founded Springnest, where he now oversees product development. Away from his keyboard, Niel finds peace in nature, whether hiking with friends or camping with his family.Lilian Padiachy
Customer Success
Lily started in the hospitality industry, gaining local and international experience. She segued into tourism tech, leading customer success at Springnest. Outside of work, she is also part of a youth development initiative, Take Back the Future. Working towards improving the numeracy and literacy levels of children and youth in the East of Johannesburg. In her downtime, she is glued to Netflix K-dramas or indulging her inner foodie.Tonya van Rooyen
Sales
Tonya is responsible for signing up our new customers and assisting them through the process of providing us with beautiful content to build their websites. She has a background in both hotels and tour operators, with a specific passion for simplifying processes for the customer as well as their client effectively and professionally. When she is not assisting customers, you can find her bouncing on her rebounder, cooking or spending time with her husband, two kids and two dogs.Simon Torr
Technical Support
Simon provides technical support to the Springnest dev and design teams, ensuring that build and launch queues run smoothly, and helping users unfamiliar with the technical jargon to navigate the process. He has extensive experience in implementing and supporting various platforms, originally from a media background where he got his first exposure to an assortment of specialised hardware and software. When he’s not online, you’ll find him roaming the wilds of his local nature reserve, usually with his wife and kids, and occasionally with the family dog.You?
