The Challenge
HolidayDOG was created to bring trusted, independently verified pet-friendly accommodation in South Africa together in one place, where travellers can search, book and pay online.
From the beginning, the business needed more than a portfolio website. It needed a stable platform that could integrate with channel managers, synchronise live availability across booking channels, handle detailed accommodation information and grow into an extensive marketplace designed specifically for people travelling with dogs.

Before Springnest
HolidayDOG started with just 20 listings and a big idea. Dee needed technology that could handle bookings, payments, detailed property information, live availability and integrations, without the cost and complexity of developing an entirely new platform from scratch.
Combined with NightsBridge as a booking engine, Springnest Marketplace gave them the foundation needed to start small while knowing the technology could grow with the business.
With Springnest
HolidayDOG now has over 150 verified listings on the same Springnest Marketplace foundation it launched with. Live availability and rates come through from NightsBridge, so what a traveller sees is what is actually free, and search, book and pay happens in one flow.
Travellers filter on the criteria that decide whether a stay works with a dog, and results come back fast enough to keep browsing. Every listing carries a dedicated space for Dee's own notes on the property's pet policy, so the detail that matters most is written by someone who has been there rather than pulled from a form field.
